  OnePlus X (Onyx, 16GB) is the phone that we are going to review today. This phone is getting a lot of fame in this quarter of year. The company announced the device to be get launched on 29th October. This phone was officially available by 5th of November.

 The feel of the phone is of premium quality. The phone is around 5-inch Super Amoled touchscreen and has got Snapdragon 801 processor which is very fast. It has got 3GB of RAM. The main focus of this company is on the design part. The phone is quiet attractive and handy and is very comfortable while travelling. The phone has got Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. 

This phone is a Dual-Sim Phone (Nano-Sim, Dual Stand-by). Resolution of this phone is quite stunning ~ 441 ppi pixel density. Primary (Rear) Camera is of 13-MP which is quite good and takes perfect snaps while Secondary (Front Facing) Camera is of 8-MP. Features of cameras are Geo-Tagging, Touch Focus, Face Detection, Panorama and HDR. Video quality is quite pretty good. It shoots 1080p @30fps and 720p @120fps. Basic connectivity options are provided such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (v. 4.0), GPS, Radio, USB (v. 2.0). This phone runs on Android OS Lollipop (v 5.1.1). GPU 330 is installed on the device which can run high graphics games very easily on it. It has got in-built memory of 16-GB and external memory support( Memory card support) up to 128-GB. Colors available ale Onyx (Black), and Ceramic.

 As we come to the Power section, Battery is Li-Po 2525 mAh Non-Removable. This is one of the disappointing points of this phone. The battery could last for a day. Another point is that it has got Quad-Core processor which is not quite acceptable for a processor such as Snapdragon 801 and at this price point. Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 - The slimmest phone ever.

Yes you heard it right. The slimmest and lightest phone ever. Micromax, Gurgaon based Indian company has launched its slimmest phone ever in the market this month. It is named as Canvas Sliver 5. With the thickness of 5.1 mm and weight about 97 grams (3.42 oz), this phone was one of the most awaited phone of the year.

Micromax Canvas Silver 5 comes with 4.8" Amoled Capacitive Touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and with 8 MP rear camera which can capture images and videos in Full  HD 1080p @30fps and a front facing camera about 5 MP which is pretty descent at this price point. It has processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, Quad-Core 1.2GHz Cortex A-53 CPU and Graphics support of Adreno 306. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.0.2 which can be further upgraded. Design of this phone is just amazing. We have got Volume rocker buttons at left side and Power button on the right side of the phone. USB charging point and 3.5 mm Audio jack is placed below with nothing over top. Unfortunately we have got no SD Card support for this phone. There is 16 GB of in-built memory with 2 GB of RAM. Battery used in this phone is Li-Po 2000 mAh which is quite low for such kind of phone. Phone comes with all around connectivity package such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, micro USB v 2.0.  

This phone is priced at INR 17,999 (USD 290). Well we can expect more from this phone because of this price point. There is no SD Card support, Low Battery backup, this points can be crucial for the buyers to buy. But due to the Design and Marketing, this phone can also attract buyers to buy this phone. On the scale, I will rate this phone at 7.5/10.

InFocus M810 launched

US based phone manufacturer InFocus has launched their high-end smartphone M810 in market yesterday. InFocus M810 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU. The device display is about 5.5" with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Main camera is of 13MP with LED flash whereas front camera is of 5MP.

M810 has 2GB of RAM with 16GB of inbuilt memory which can be extended upto 64GB. Battery is about 2600mAh which is pretty descent. The phone weighs about 156 grams. The phone do support 3G, 4G, GPRS/EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS.

 With the price-point of INR. 14,999, this is a pretty descent phone. This phone will be available on amazon from 15th of July. At the scale from 1-10, I will rate this phone at 7.

Google Launches it's cheapest and affordable 'Chromebook'

Google launches it's cheapest Chromebook in two versions priced at $149 which is mainly aiming to undercut Microsoft's Windows franchise and to gain a stronger market in schools and in world markets.

The newest versions are made by Hisense, Haier and ASUS. Hisense's chromebook can be ordered at Walmart.com and Haier's chromebook can be ordered at Amazon.com

Hisense Chromebook :

Hisense Chromebooks are most promising computers at the lowest price point. Although it's cannot compete with other high-end high specification computers, still is a good gadget for students and for general purpose users. It's a 11-inch chromebook. It has got 2GB of ram with 16 GB of internal storage. It runs on Rockchip 3288 processor, 2 USB slots on left side with HDMI port and SD card support almost makes this gadget a good multimedia device. Once charged, it can run for at least 8 - 8.5 hrs. It has got a front camera which can be used for video chatting and can also record 720p videos.

Finally Lollipop update for YU Yureka

"Better late than never". Finally the most anticipated OS has rolled out for YU Yureka i.e Lollipop update. The company had submitted the ‎CyanogenOS‬ update for Google’s approval and it has been successful. This means that the Lollipop update on Yu Yureka handset has already started rolling out. 

Do note that the update will happen in a phased manner, every Yureka user will get the update. Some users already received the update notification. You can manually check for updates by tapping system, about– check system update.

Asus Zenfone 2

 A Taiwan based company ASUSTek referred as ASUS has recently launched a new phone or we can say as a phablet  in market by the name of ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML.

DESIGN :

 The design looks pretty similar to the last year's Zenfone 2. The curved back, LG G3 inspired volume buttons, power button at the top. Though it has a removable back panel, the battery of the phone cannot be replaced. As the phone is Dual Sim, the Sim card slots are under the flap and both the slots are micro-sim slots and a micro SD slot as well. At the front, we've got a huge 5.5-inch HD screen with Gorilla glass 3 protection.

SOFTWARE :

The new Zenfone 2 runs on latest OS i.e Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Zen UI is customized UI which is pretty impressive. Multitasking becomes more easier due to this custom UI. Many new and cool features are added such as 'Kids Mode' which only shows basic apps sucha as Phone, Messages,etc.

HARDWARE :

Zenfone 2 is powered by Intel's quad-core 2.3 GHz Atom Z3580 processor, with PowerVR G6430 graphics chip, 4 GB of RAM. Internal memory is about 32 GB & SD card support upto 64 GB. A 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front is available with this phone. In Connectivity part, It supports 2G, 3G and 4G while 2G can only run on second sim slot. Standard Connectivity features such as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, and NFC. It has got an astonishing 3000 mAh battery to power this phone.

PERFORMANCE :

Zenfone 2 has got 4 gigs of RAM. Obviously there are no lags faced when we handle this device. A powerful graphic support from Hardware part can flip this device into Gaming device. This phone is awesome for Gaming geeks like me. A powerful battery don't disappoint us anytime while using this phone. As a multimedia device, the speakers are pretty decent, but sometimes it flatters when we listen to some loud music. It can play all video formats using third-party apps like MX Player Pro.

CAMERA :

It has got 13 MP auto-focus camera. The photos taken are pretty descent. The photos taken in sunlight are good but little over exposed. However HDR mode can take quite good snaps. Low-light images have low noise due to the Pixel-Master technology, but have a slightly glazed look due to the processing.   A 5 MP front facing camera has a wide-angle lens just like previous version of Zenfone. For selfies this phone is quite good.  

CONCLUSION :

ASUS Zenfone 2 is a good phone for those who are doing hard multitasking, heavy gaming, and techno geeks like me. Though 4GB of RAM is not really utilized to its full extent on mobile devices now, but with apps designed for 64-bit CPU's on the way, Asus Zenfone 2 is also a future-ready smartphone that will probably serve for quite a long time.The price of this phone will range from $199 to $399. ASUS has not yet announced the launch of Zenfone 2 in India, but it is expected to get launched soon at the price point of 20000 - 25000 INR.

A new budget smartphone is launched this week by Microsoft. Its Lumia 540.
Crafted with the utmost care, it has got 5-inch high-def screen with 8 MP camera with auto-focus and LED flash.
Front camera is of 5 MP
It comes with 8Gb of internal storage memory with astonishing external storage capacity of 128Gb.
It has got 2200 mAh Li-Ion battery which is quite a disappointing for a 5-inch smartphone.

Xiaomi launches Android-powered Mi TV 2

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi unveils it's brand new TV in the market. 

According to San Francisco-based techcrunch.com website, it is 40" wide and as thin as 14.5mm.
The older version was 49" wide and 15.5mm thin.
It consists of Quad-Core MStar 6A908 Cortex-A9 CPU and basic graphic support of Mali0450 MP4 GPU with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of memory.
The new model has 1080p display with price range up to $670.
It runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) which can be upgraded to Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
The TV goes on sale from 31st of March in China, however, Company had not declared that this product will be available in other market.
Xiaomi is the third largest phone maker company in the world based on the shipments.
